How to take a screenshot on your iPhone

I have been working on some iPhone application designs lately and stumbled across how to take a screenshot of your iPhone screen. This is really helpful for comping the home screen or capturing application prototype layouts that were produced in the application development software.

1 - Navigate to the content you want to capture
2 - Press the round power button (front) and thin power button (top) together for 1 second
3 - Release them and your screen will flash white with a camera sound
4 - The image will be available in your photos application and can be imported through iPhoto though the thumbnail may not always appear in the preview window.

I'm Stephen Gates and I’ve been in the advertising business almost my whole life.  I am a designer and second generation creative director and an hour from now I will probably be locked away in my studio slowly going blind working on a new design or this blog.  That has to be love or insanity – since it is advertising it is probably a bit of both.
